Mycoplasma infections have the potential to recur, so diagnosis of a Mycoplasma infection requires aggressive treatment. Common symptoms of mycoplasma infection include irritating dry cough, coughing up white sputum, fever, headache, depression, nausea and other symptoms. There is no obvious abnormality in lung auscultation, as well as lung CT or chest radiographs often suggest interstitial changes, and mycoplasma antibodies have recently appeared to be more than 4-fold elevated, which is the main basis for confirming the diagnosis of mycoplasma infection. Blood counts often indicate that white blood cells are normal or below normal, and C-reactive protein and calcitoninogen are normal. The diagnosis of mycoplasma infection requires the use of macrolide antibiotics, or quinolone antibiotics for treatment, and the commonly used drugs in the clinic include azithromycin, erythromycin, levofloxacin, moxifloxacin and so on.
