Up to now (February 1, 2020), no vaccine against the novel coronavirus has been put into clinical use. Although scientists in many parts of the world have been working day and night, vaccine development is difficult because the coronavirus is a single-stranded RNA virus with an unstable structure and strong variability. Currently, the main clinical treatment for patients with novel coronavirus infection is isolation and rest and appropriate symptomatic treatment, relying on the body’s own resistance to kill the virus, with appropriate nutritional support and symptomatic treatment such as maintaining water-electrolyte balance during this period to avoid fatal complications.
