Current epidemiological data show that novel coronaviruses are sensitive to UV light and heat, and can be inactivated by heating at 56°C for 30 minutes. UV lamps can kill novel coronaviruses. Families with conditions can disinfect their homes daily for 30 minutes with UV lamps after morning and evening ventilation, which can effectively kill novel coronaviruses. In addition, some chemical disinfectants, such as ether, 75% ethanol, chlorinated disinfectants, peroxyacetic acid and chloroform and other fat solvents, can effectively inactivate the virus.
