There are many reasons for bleeding from the back of the nose, and the diseases that may lead to this symptom are nasopharyngeal fibroangioma, hypertension, nasopharyngeal cancer and so on.
1. Nasopharyngeal fibrous hemangioma: it is the most common benign tumor in nasopharynx, which consists of dense connective tissue, a large number of elastic fibers and blood vessels, and it may have paroxysmal bleeding from nose or mouth, or bleeding from posterior part of nasal cavity. Due to repeated massive bleeding, patients often have different degrees of anemia.
2. Hypertension: the blood vessels in the nasal cavity of the elderly are sclerotic, when the blood pressure rises and the cerebral blood vessels do not rupture before, the posterior part of the nasal cavity, especially the arterial or venous blood vessels in the lower nasal tract will rupture and cause nosebleed. Nosebleed caused by this disease often occurs late at night and early in the morning.
3. Nasopharyngeal carcinoma: Early nasal symptoms may appear with blood in sucking back snot or blowing nose, which may occur from time to time and do not attract patients’ attention. Increasing tumor may block the posterior nostril and cause nasal congestion, which may be unilateral at the beginning and then bilateral.
There are other reasons for bleeding in the back of the nasal cavity, so it is recommended to go to the hospital in time, improve the examination to clarify the cause of the disease, and then give targeted standardized treatment.
