Progesterone may or may not drop after progesterone shots are stopped. Progesterone regulates menstrual therapy and will drop when the pills are stopped. With fertility preservation therapy, it will not drop.
Progesterone is a hormone secreted by women’s ovaries, mainly progesterone, which can regulate women’s endocrine secretion and thus achieve the effect of regulating menstruation. Progesterone injections will cause the body’s progesterone to rise, and after it stops, the progesterone will fall to the normal level, resulting in retracted bleeding, or a single menstrual period.
Progesterone injections are used as a means of fertility preservation treatment. As the embryo develops well, the placenta slowly forms and begins to secrete progesterone, so progesterone won’t drop after you stop injecting progesterone.
