Epidermal tumors commonly include sebaceous cysts, fibroids of the skin or subcutaneous lipomas, which mainly manifest as localized elevated swellings and can occur on the trunk, extremities, body surface, face, and other areas. If it affects the aesthetic appearance or occurs in the functional area of the joint and affects the daily activities, surgical treatment should also be chosen at an early stage. For small lesions, surgery can be performed under local anesthesia. For larger lesions or multiple lesions, general anesthesia or intravenous anesthesia can be chosen if local anesthesia is not effective. During surgery, care should be taken to carefully separate the lesions to avoid residuals and to avoid recurrence after surgery. Because benign lesions are common, postoperative pathological examination is also required. In addition, a small number of patients have malignant skin tumors, which require extended excision and, if necessary, local radiation therapy after surgery to reduce the chance of recurrence after surgery.
