What is the easiest way to heal a vestibular cyst on its own?

Vestibular cysts do not heal on their own, so there is no such thing as the easiest way to heal yourself. The most common treatments for vestibular cysts include general treatment, medication, and surgery.

Vestibular cysts are caused by chronic inflammation or congenital narrowing of the gland ducts, resulting in blockage of the opening of the vestibular gland ducts, causing secretions to accumulate in the lumen of the gland. Small cysts may have no symptoms, but large cysts may present with vulvar swelling, and secondary infection may lead to a vestibular gland abscess.

If a vestibular cyst is identified, it usually does not require special treatment if there are no uncomfortable symptoms, although it is important to closely monitor the progress of the condition. Vestibular cysts do not heal on their own and require appropriate treatment based on the patient’s symptoms. If vulvar swelling occurs, it can be treated with warm water sitz baths. Medication or even surgery is needed if necessary.

If the vestibular cyst is already large, the discomfort is more obvious, or if the vestibular cyst is recurring, a cystostomy is usually recommended, which can preserve the function of the vestibular gland.
