Our sample survey in 2003 showed that the 4-year mortality rate of chronic heart failure can reach 50%, while the 1-year mortality rate of severe heart failure can reach 50%. The specific survival time of heart failure patients also needs to be based on the condition and control of heart failure, individual differences are large, and can not be generalized. If the condition of heart failure is mild, there are no symptoms of heart failure and activity limitation, and drug intervention is given at an early stage to slow down the progression of heart failure, the survival time of heart failure will be prolonged accordingly, or even the same as that of normal people. However, if there is no corresponding correct treatment in the early stage, so that the condition worsens, even after strict treatment, still resting with heart failure symptoms, then the prognosis is not good, and need to be hospitalized for a long time repeatedly, the survival period is also shortened accordingly. Therefore, heart failure requires active treatment, such as standardized drug therapy, while improving lifestyle, such as limiting water, controlling salt intake, monitoring urine output, and regularly monitoring blood pressure and heart rate.
