“Downward fire” is a folk saying that means to clear heat and remove fire. Chrysanthemum can be combined with peppermint, cassia seeds or honeysuckle to remove heat.
Chrysanthemum has the effects of dispersing wind-heat, clearing heat and removing toxins (removing heat and toxicity), clearing the liver and brightening the eyes, etc. It is used in treating vertigo of liver-yang, wind-heat and colds, redness and swelling of the eyes, canker sores and poisons. Its adverse reactions and contraindications, precautions are not clear. In clinical application, chrysanthemum can be drunk together with other medicines to enhance its effect of clearing heat and removing fire.
1. Chrysanthemum with wolfberry: Chrysanthemum clears heat and removes toxins, wolfberry nourishes the liver and kidney, and the two are used for the dimming of vision, dizziness and headache caused by deficiency of the liver and kidney, and upward disturbance of deficiency fire. Spleen deficiency loose stools (feces thin and not shaped) should not take wolfberry.
2. Chrysanthemum with honeysuckle: both have the effect of clearing heat and removing toxins and dispersing heat, and can be used for wind-heat colds, boils and poisons. Spleen and stomach cold and sores are Yin people should not take honeysuckle.
3. Chrysanthemum with cassia seeds: cassia seeds clear heat and fire, benefit kidney yin; chrysanthemum pungent and cool, clear the liver and brighten the eyes; the two drink together for the liver inflammation of the headache and dizziness, eye redness and swelling. The two together are used for headache, dizziness, swelling and pain of the eyes.
Tea drink can play a limited role in the efficacy, can not replace the drug treatment, it is recommended that the use of decoction under the guidance of a doctor, do not self-medication or blindly increase the dosage, to avoid causing adverse consequences.
