How to use the self-test new crown kit

There are many brands of self-test New Crown kits with slightly different but similar methods of use, which are divided into the basic steps of self-test pre-preparation, sample collection and antigen detection.
1. Preparation before self-test: First, wash your hands with hand sanitizer or running water. Next, check whether the content of the self-test new crown kit is missing or expired. After that, confirm the testing environment, generally require 14 to 30 degrees Celsius indoor environment.
2. Sample collection: Blow your nose with clean tissue and remove the outer packaging of the nasal swab, avoiding direct contact with the swab head. The swab head should be inserted 1 to 1.5 centimeters into one nostril and rotated 4 to 6 times inside the nasal cavity for at least 15 seconds, and then the same swab should be used to repeat the procedure in the other nasal cavity; self-tested persons under 14 years of age may be assisted by an adult for sampling.
3. Antigen detection: put the nasal swab into the sampling tube immediately after sampling, rotate and mix the swab head in the sampling solution for more than 30 seconds, meanwhile squeeze the swab head on the outer wall of the sampling tube for 5 to 10 times, and then drop the sampling solution into the sample hole of the test card through the drip tip of the cap of the sampling tube.
4. Interpretation of results: After waiting for a period of time, refer to the control chart in the instruction manual to determine the results of the self-test, C and T show red or purple bands are positive, a single band (C shows red or purple bands, T does not show bands) is negative, no band is invalid.
When the self-test result is positive, report immediately to the community or township where you live and temporarily isolate yourself. Regardless of the result of the self-test, all items related to the self-test after use should be disposed of in the designated medical waste sealed bag according to the procedure.
