Areola reduction is usually performed through surgical procedures, in which the oversized areola is excised and then sutured through the circumferential bundle to achieve the effect of reducing the areola. First of all, patients are anesthetized, because areola reduction is performed under local anesthesia, after anesthesia in the areola circumferential incision or fan-shaped incision, nipple-centered excision of the areola outside the radius of 1.5cm-2.5cm, retaining the patient’s dermis and subcutaneous vascular network, so as to avoid damage to the vascular network leading to insufficient blood supply to the nipple and areola. In the direction of the transverse diameter of the patient’s peripheral skin inside and outside the excision of a piece of triangular skin to reduce the radius, so that the radius of the new areola with the same; peripheral subcutaneous para-suture after the use of gauze to cover the affected area, generally do not need bandages, postoperative interval of 7-10 days to remove the stitches. It is recommended that patients use penicillin, cephalosporin and other anti-inflammatory drugs under the guidance of the doctor after surgery, and try to avoid contacting the affected area with water for one week after surgery, so as not to cause infection and affect the recovery.
