Allergic rhinitis, also called and affected rhinitis, is caused by an allergic reaction to allergens.
Allergic rhinitis is an IgE-mediated type I allergic reaction. When allergens stimulate the organism for the first time, they can put it in the sensitization phase. At this stage, immune cells can produce IgE antibodies that bind to the cell membrane of mast cells or basophils.
When the allergen enters the nasal cavity again, and bridges with the IgE antibody on the cell membrane of mast cells or basophils, the mast cells and basophils release inflammatory mediators, causing a series of clinical symptoms such as nasal itching, sneezing, and increased nasal secretion.
If there is any discomfort, it is recommended to consult a doctor in time for diagnosis and treatment.
