Dosage of Tulip

The dosage of Yu Jin is usually 3 to 10 grams per day for adults, and should be taken under the guidance of a doctor and in accordance with medical advice. Tulip is the dried tuberous root of the ginger plant, warm tulip, turmeric, Guangxi curcuma and Pong curcuma. Taste pungent, bitter. The medicinal properties are cold. It belongs to the liver, gallbladder and heart meridians, and has the effects of activating blood circulation, relieving pain, promoting circulation of qi and relieving depression, clearing the heart and cooling the blood, and inducing diuresis to reduce jaundice (dredging the evil qi of the biliary tract and eliminating jaundice). Yu Jin is used in treating stabbing pain in the chest and ribs, chest paralysis (stuffy pain in the chest), heart pain, amenorrhea and dysmenorrhea, breast distension and pain, dizziness in fevers, epilepsy and epistaxis (vomiting of blood and nosebleeds due to blood-heat). Note that this product has an excitatory effect on the uterus, so pregnant women should be cautious in using it. Yu Jin should not be used together with Clove and Mother Clove, and is often included in decoctions. The use of medication should follow the doctor’s prescription, do not self-medicate, so as not to delay the condition and affect the subsequent treatment.
