Hypotension, also known as diastolic blood pressure, is abnormal if it is 57 mmHg, and belongs to hypotension. The normal range of diastolic blood pressure is 60-80mmHg, but in actual clinical practice, it is recommended that patients should preferably control diastolic blood pressure above 65mmHg and below 80mmHg, which is the most beneficial for patients. Too low diastolic blood pressure may trigger insufficient blood supply to the heart and head, and patients may experience chest tightness, chest pain, dizziness, headache and other uncomfortable conditions. If the patient is currently taking antihypertensive medication, it is best if the antihypertensive medication can be reduced in dosage. If only one type of antihypertensive medication is currently being taken, it is not yet possible to break it up and change the type of antihypertensive medication if necessary. Monitor blood pressure regularly during the day, and if necessary, perform ambulatory blood pressure monitoring to assess the patient’s overall blood pressure over a 24-hour period.
