Large Stomach Cancer Stems from Small Stomach Diseases
Stomach cancer often originates from some minor stomach diseases that we ignore every day. Many gastric cancer patients are guilty of avoiding medical treatment, thinking that it is just a stomach bloating and stomach pain, which will be cured after a while, or they will be cured after taking some painkillers at will. After repeated treatment and recurrent attacks, the patient is finally admitted to the hospital, but there is no way to return to the hospital, and at this time, stomach cancer patients are often in advanced stage, and even metastasis has occurred.
Which stomach pains should be noted?
There are many kinds of gastric cancer, which can be divided into different parts, such as fundic cardia cancer, gastric body cancer, gastric sinus cancer, etc. The different parts of gastric cancer also determine the different pain areas.
  Eating pain
Gastric cancer occurring in the cardia orifice and fundus of the stomach will cause choking when eating, discomfort and vague pain under the saber or behind the sternum, these symptoms are similar to esophageal cancer, and the pain will increase when eating.
Symptoms: Vomiting will occur when the progressive aggravation of feeding choking reaches a certain level, mostly 2-3 hours after eating.
The composition of vomit is undigested food and mucus, initially only mucus, later with chewed food.
  Epigastric pain
Epigastric discomfort and pain can occur in the stomach body and on the side of the greater curvature.
Symptoms: At first, the pain is after eating, and the symptoms will be relieved when not eating. Gradually the pain worsens and loses its regularity. Gastrointestinal bleeding even occurs in the middle and late stages.
Gastric cancer in the sinus of stomach will also present epigastric pain and earlier.
Symptoms: persistent vague pain, or may be paroxysmal pain, or both pain symptoms intermingled to paroxysmal pain increasing.
If the lesion is near the pyloric hilum, pyloric obstruction and vomiting may occur.
  Ulcer pain
Patients with progressive gastric cancer often have ulcer pain.
Symptoms: Due to rapid growth, the central part of the cancer often necroses and forms ulcers, similar to gastric ulcers, with symptoms of erosion and bleeding in the stomach. This type of gastric cancer often invades the plasma membrane or has lymph node metastasis earlier.
  Middle-aged and old-aged stomach pain
This kind of stomach pain is mostly seen in people over 50 years old, with unexplained stomach pain and poor pain relief effect. Especially when there is sudden wasting, anemia and positive fecal occult blood, it is important to seek medical attention in time.
There are few cases that develop from common gastritis to gastric cancer. Certain chronic gastric diseases such as gastric ulcer, atrophic gastritis and gastric polyps are now recognized as precancerous lesions. This reminds people with a family history of gastric disease and recurrent stomach pain symptoms to be more alert. Any patient suffering from chronic gastric disease with untreated and worsening symptoms should seek medical attention in a timely manner, especially the middle-aged and elderly population aged 55-70, who need regular gastroscopy screening, which is the preferred method for early detection of gastric cancer.
