The most common cause of sore eyes after eyelash extensions is a bacterial infection of the lid gland caused by substandard hygiene at the time of the extension. This condition is similar to a whealsore or a pinhole and is primarily a purulent inflammatory infection. It is usually necessary to use certain antibacterial drugs to gradually relieve the inflammatory reaction, mainly levofloxacin, or tobramycin drops if levofloxacin is allergic. The drops need to be used 4-6 times a day, and can also be used topically with tobramycin eye ointment or gatifloxacin eye ointment. If the pain, redness and swelling return after a period of time after treatment, it may be necessary to remove the seeded eyelashes so as to avoid a recurrence.
