The evoked potential test is better than EMG. The test is performed mainly through scalp electrodes, which require less interference because of more oil on the scalp, and the test is performed mainly with needle electrodes, which are stuck into the scalp area for evocation. Some patients require electrical stimulation, but the intensity is weaker than EMG, basically painless and acceptable to children. The evoked potential test does not require much cooperative behavior from the patient and is generally performed according to the doctor’s instructions, so the patient does not need to be overly anxious about the test.
