How to determine blood stasis under the tongue and diagram

Blood stasis under the tongue is determined by looking at the sublingual collaterals.
Looking at the sublingual veins, we mainly observe its length, shape, color, thickness, small blood under the tongue and other changes.
Observation method of sublingual veins: the observer first opens the mouth, cocking the tongue to the palate, the tip of the tongue can be lightly against the palate, do not exert too much force, so that the tongue remains naturally relaxed, and the sublingual veins are fully exposed.
At this time, observe the thickness and color of the large veins on both sides of the tongue tie, and see if there are any abnormal changes such as anguish and curvature. Then check the color and shape of the surrounding small veins, as well as the presence of purple bead-like nodules and purple blood.
If the sublingual veins appear to be dark red or purple network or thick, bifurcated or blue or black-purple, or the sublingual veins are curved like purple beads and varying sizes of blood stasis nodules, it can be preliminarily judged as sublingual blood stasis.
If you need to judge sublingual blood stasis, it is necessary for the doctor to analyze it according to the condition of the person being observed, and you should not treat it by yourself to avoid delaying the condition.
