Multiple polyps of the cardia, endoscopic treatment is recommended.
Cardia polyps are a type of gastric polyp and are not uncommon in clinical practice, with hyperplastic polyps being its most prevalent pathologic type. Gastric polyps have been regarded as precancerous, so it is widely recognized in clinical practice that they should be aggressively intervened once detected. This has great clinical significance in preventing and reducing the occurrence of gastric cancer.
Currently, early resection is mostly advocated for cardia polyps. For the removal of polyps, endoscopic treatment has a better application value in the treatment of gastric polyps due to its minimally invasive, safe, convenient operation and suitable for multiple treatments, and can be the first choice of treatment, such as nylon loop ligation, EMR, ESD, live forceps clamping and so on, and the method to be used should be determined by the patient’s own situation.
If there are multiple polyps in the cardia, it is recommended to consult the doctor and standardize the treatment.
