The condition caused by vaginitis needs to be treated against the pathogen, while changes caused by trichomoniasis can be treated with metronidazole. Patients with fungal infections can be treated with drugs such as dacrynic suppositories or clotrimazole cream. Patients who have episodes of bacterial vaginosis may choose to be treated with medications such as levofloxacin.
