Location of Bartholin’s gland cysts

A Bartholin’s gland cyst is located just below the labia minora, on the side of the vaginal opening. There are acute abscesses of this type of cyst, as well as simple Bartholin’s gland cysts, also called vestibular gland cysts, which are glands. The main cause of its development is the formation of a cyst due to the opening of the vestibular gland, which is blocked by inflammatory stimuli, and the secretions from the gland do not flow out in time. If combined with bacterial infection, an abscess can form. If the cyst is relatively small, it can be temporarily observed and does not affect normal life. If bartholinitis occurs, an abscess is formed, which can show obvious enlargement in a short period of time and manifests itself as redness, swelling and pain, which is sometimes difficult for the patient to tolerate, and surgical treatment must be done as soon as possible.
