1. Malignant disease: for example, anemia, emaciation, loss of skin elasticity, limb sensory disorder, skin edema or generalized edema. As cancer is a kind of consumptive disease, the symptoms of emaciation will be aggravated before dying and may be accompanied by anemia, while generalized edema is mostly caused by the fact that the cancerous tissues have already metastasized to all parts of the body, resulting in the obstruction of lymph node reflux.
2. Increased intestinal obstruction: in the advanced stage of rectal cancer, the tumor can be further enlarged, and the patient can have the symptoms of obstruction, such as the patient is unable to defecate, and nausea and vomiting and other obstructive symptoms.
3. Worsening of metastatic symptoms: when rectal cancer is in advanced stage, metastasis of whole body organs has basically occurred, for example, metastasis of lungs, kidneys, liver, bones and other parts can occur, therefore, different symptoms such as bone pain, respiratory difficulty, discomfort in liver area, lumbosacral pain and so on will occur.
For patients who cannot be treated by surgery and for whom radiotherapy is of little significance, family members should provide care and nursing and actively accompany the patients.
