What are the symptoms of endometriosis?

What are the symptoms of endometriosis 1. dysmenorrhea and chronic pelvic pain: The most typical symptom of endometriosis is secondary dysmenorrhea, which is progressively aggravated by the progress of local lesions, but not all patients have such typical symptoms. 2. painful intercourse: about 30% of patients can have painful intercourse. The pain is caused by collision and uterine contraction and upward lifting during intercourse, and is generally manifested as deep intercourse pain, which is more pronounced before menstruation. 3. Menstrual abnormalities: 15%-30% of patients have increased menstrual flow, prolonged periods or premenstrual spot bleeding. Menstrual abnormalities may be related to the destruction of ovarian tissue by the lesion, affecting ovarian function. Some patients may be related to the simultaneous combination of adenomyosis or fibroids.4. Infertility: The infertility rate of endometriosis patients is as high as 40%, while about 80% of the infertility patients have ectopic disease, of which 20% have moderate or above lesions. The causes of endometriosis formation: 1. Endometrial implantation theory: Sampson first proposed that the endometrial fragments shed during menstruation, with menstrual blood reflux through the fallopian tube into the abdominal cavity, planted in the ovaries and adjacent pelvic peritoneum, and secondary growth and spread, developing into endometriosis. Women with genital tract malformations or obstructions are often complicated by endometriosis, indicating that menstrual blood reflux can cause endometrial implantation. The presence of endometriosis in the abdominal wall incision or perineal wound after delivery is a medical implantation caused by the surgeon bringing the endometrium to the incision.2. Lymphatic and venous dissemination theory: The presence of endometrial tissue found in the pelvic veins or lymph nodes supports this argument. It is also believed that endometriosis occurring in organs far from the pelvic area, such as the skin and muscles of the lungs, hands and thighs, may be the result of lymphatic or venous dissemination. 3. Body cavity epithelial metaplasia theory: The ovarian germinal epithelium, pelvic peritoneum and pleura all originate from body cavity epithelial lymphatic and venous dissemination, which can metaplasia into endometrium-like tissue by repeated stimulation of menstrual blood, hormones or chronic inflammation, forming endometriosis. Effects of endometriosis on fertility Endometriosis can lead to infertility, and pregnancy is one of the best treatments for endometriosis. If it is clear that you have endometriosis, you may consider getting pregnant as early as possible, as pregnancy can inhibit the growth and reproduction of ectopic cells. However, you should be reminded that it is possible to conceive with endometriosis, but you are prone to miscarriage. Endometriosis is one of the most common cases of infertility and can destroy normal ovarian tissue and affect ovarian function; endometriosis may also occur with adhesions in the pelvis, fallopian tubes, uterus, and ovaries, resulting in complete adhesion of most organs in the pelvis, which also prevents pregnancy. We suggest that you go to the hospital in time for examination and diagnosis, and then treat the symptoms.
