The side effect is damage to the nasal mucosa. The damage caused by nasal endoscopy is mainly mechanical. In some patients, the nasal cavity is very narrow or the anatomical abnormalities of the nasal cavity are more pronounced and the nasal mucosa may be rubbed off during the examination, causing symptoms such as inflammation and pain in the nasal mucosa.
