What is montelukast for?

The main ingredient of montelukast is montmorillonite, which is the name of a western medicine and is an antidiarrheal drug, mainly used for acute and chronic diarrhea in adults, and can be used under the guidance of a doctor during the pregnancy stage. There are many causes of diarrhea, if it is simple diarrhea, taking montelukast during the acute diarrhea can stop the diarrhea quickly and play a therapeutic role. If it is combined with acute enteritis, especially bacterial dysentery, it must be treated for etiology, not blindly taking montelukast. Because the use of laxative drugs later lead to bacterial dysentery and aggravate dysentery. Therefore, in case of acute gastroenteritis, bacterial dysentery and other infectious diarrhea symptoms, anti-inflammatory treatment should be given first, and then montelukast should be considered. If the diarrhea is purely caused by indigestion or due to intestinal flora imbalance, the combination of Bifidobacterium, Lactobacillus and live bacteria tablets, probiotics and montelukast should be applied to quickly relieve diarrhea and change the local flora environment to achieve the purpose of treatment.
