The main manifestations of dampness in women are fatigue, dizziness, epigastric congestion, excessive leucorrhea, greasy tongue, slippery pulse, etc. However, the manifestations vary depending on where the dampness resides. But because of the different parts of the dampness stays, the performance is different.
1. Dampness stays in the upper jiao: it mainly manifests as coughing and phlegm, tightness in the chest, fatigue, dizziness and so on.
2. Dampness stays in the middle jiao: the main manifestations are epigastric rumpiness, dullness (no appetite, reduced food intake), low food intake, nausea and vomiting.
3. Dampness stays in the Lower Jiao: the main manifestations are loose stools, cloudy urine, and excessive, sticky, and thick diarrhea.
4. Dampness stays in the joints of the limbs: it manifests itself in joint pain, which is aggravated by rainy days.
