With the improvement of living standards in our country’s economic development, the incidence of breast cancer is increasing due to stress, pollution and changes in reproductive patterns; the age of onset of breast cancer in China is trending younger, with the peak age of onset occurring between 40 and 45 years old, making it a major killer threatening women’s health. Therefore, women should raise their awareness of self-care and care for their breasts. Care for breasts should last throughout a woman’s life: 1. For newborns, due to the influence of maternal hormones female babies may have bilateral breast swelling and even a little fluid secretion after birth, but this is a normal physiological phenomenon. 1-2 weeks after birth the hormones obtained from the mother in the baby’s body will be metabolized and the breast swelling will disappear on its own. So at this stage do not follow our old saying to milk the teat, which may instead damage the tender mammary tissue and even cause infection and inflammation. 2, adolescent girls, breasts as secondary sex characteristics will gradually develop, the initial period can not than wear a bra, fully developed to wear a suitable bra, loose and moderate, and although the development of timely replacement. At the same time, pay attention to the standing posture, active exercise will help the chest aesthetics. Young girls can also be troubled by breast diseases, such as adolescent girls can suffer from a benign tumor – fibroadenoma, the main manifestation is painless, smooth, well-moving lumps, and some times can grow larger. So mothers should be concerned about the breast health of adolescent girls, if they find a lump there is no need to panic, find a doctor to look at it, do not delay the consultation because of shyness. 3, after adulthood, we generally recommend annual breast health checkups. After the initial palpation by a professional doctor can find lumps of 1cm or more. For smaller lesions, it is often difficult for the doctor’s hands to reach them, and then the help of instruments is needed. Infrared, ultrasound and mammography are commonly used in breast examinations and checkups. Infrared examinations are relatively crude and difficult to detect early lesions, so they are not recommended. A reasonable combination of color ultrasound and mammography can maximize the detection of early lesions in the breast, and it is recommended that color ultrasound be the first choice for general checkups after the age of 30, while mammography can be considered after the age of 40. The most common disease at this time is mastitis, which is mainly characterized by local redness, swelling, pain and sometimes fever. This disease focuses on prevention and requires attention to oral hygiene of infants, cleaning of breasts before breastfeeding, correct feeding posture, prevention of milk stagnation and nipple breakage. 5. Early stage of breast cancer may not have any symptoms.
