Endoscopic polyp surgery method

Endoscopic treatment of polyps requires insertion of the endoscope into the digestive tract, as follows: 1. For polyps less than 0.5 cm in diameter, they are usually removed by biopsy forceps or strangulation with a trap, or by electrocoagulation; 2. For polyps less than 2 cm in diameter, subtip or non-tip polyps are removed with a trap plus electrocoagulation, and the trap wire is placed above the base of the polyp, which is the best place to remove the polyp. Some polyps with a wider base can be injected with saline at their base to artificially form a tip, which can be removed later; 3. For polyps with a tip, a trap with electrocoagulation is used to remove the polyp and try to keep the tip longer to avoid unnecessary postoperative complications.
