What causes high lipoproteins?

High lipoprotein is categorized into primary and secondary, the cause of primary dyslipidemia is unknown, and secondary dyslipidemia is seen in chronic hepatitis, hypothyroidism and other diseases. 1. Primary dyslipidemia: the etiology is unknown, it is the result of the interaction between genetic and environmental factors. Genetic patients often have single or multiple gene mutations, and environmental factors include insufficient exercise, poor diet, obesity, smoking, alcoholism and so on. 2. Secondary dyslipidemia: caused by certain diseases or long-term application of drugs. (1) Diseases: such as hypothyroidism, liver and kidney diseases, systemic lupus erythematosus, polycystic ovary syndrome. (2) Long-term use of drugs: long-term use of certain drugs can lead to secondary dyslipidemia, such as thiazide diuretics leading to increased total cholesterol and decreased HDL. If high lipoprotein is detected, it is recommended to consult the doctor in time to identify the cause of the disease and standardize the treatment under the doctor’s guidance.
