What are the hazards in copper mining in highland areas?

Copper is a non-ferrous metal that exists widely in different ways in daily life and in industrial and agricultural production, and copper mining has a very long history in China. The occupational hazard factors in the pre-evaluation process of a copper mining enterprise engaged in copper mining at high altitude are analyzed for reference. Main occupational hazard factors and protective measures in copper mine After analyzing the various process steps of the mining and beneficiation process in the mine, the occupational disease hazard factors present in the project are noise, vibration, silica dust, arsenic, lead, carbon disulfide, cresol, limestone dust, other dust, visual fatigue, forced body position, occupational stress, sulfur dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxide, nitrogen dioxide, manganese, welding fume, ultraviolet ray, industrial frequency electromagnetic field, gamma ray, etc. According to the characteristics of this project, the following protective measures have been taken; 1. Dust control (1) Dry dust capture or wet chiseling is proposed for the perforating operation in the open pit; regular dust suppression by sprinkling water on the shoveling work surface and transport roads. (2) perforation, shoveling, transportation and other auxiliary equipment should be equipped with operating cabs to improve the labor environment for workers and minimize the hazards of dust and other harmful components in the open pit; large equipment cabs are installed with air purification devices. (3) Spraying and dust removal facilities should be installed at all loading and unloading points such as coarse crusher feed opening, belt feeder discharge point, and tape conveyor transfer, etc. in the processing plant, and the coarse crushing yard should be covered to prevent dust diffusion. 2.Toxic prevention (1) Mechanical ventilation is provided in the chemical preparation room, ore sample processing room and test laboratory, lime ripening workshop is equipped with lime dust collection and exhaust fan and wet dust collector, and each workshop is equipped with ground drainage facilities and pit pump. (2) Keep good ventilation or use fan to force ventilation for welding operation. 3.Noise prevention (1) Open-air perforating equipment is equipped with vibration damping devices, and building insulation is used to reduce noise impact. (2) equipment as far as possible with sound-deadening devices, as far as possible to reduce the impact of noise. (1) The mining site is equipped with personal protective equipment such as overalls and dust masks for all staff who are in direct contact with dust. (2) All types of staff entering the mining site are required to take personal protective measures and are equipped with earplugs. (3) Mineral processing plant operators are equipped with appropriate work clothes, dust masks, gloves, ear plugs and other personal protective equipment according to regulations. Through the above comprehensive management measures, it can play an effective protective role in preventing the impact of occupational disease hazards on the physical health of the operators. 5.Other The location of this project is a high altitude area, in addition to the above common occupational harmful factors in the mainland, there are also the following occupation-related problems exist: ① Natural epidemic diseases, in the Xietongmen County area where this project is located, is the Himalayan dry otter host, belongs to the plague endemic areas, but are prevalent among rats, according to the information provided by the Rikaze Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention, in the past 15 years There is no reported case of human infection of plague. ② Plateau disease, the altitude of the project site is above 4,000m, the highest operating point is 4,750m, and the height difference within the operating range is about 750m. When foreign workers suddenly enter the area, it is very easy to cause plateau disease. Low temperature, low humidity, solar radiation and strong ultraviolet rays also have certain influence on the development of the disease. According to the information provided by the Rikaze Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention, there are also endemic diseases such as fluorosis and big bone disease in the region.
