Generally, the dosage of tulip gold in clinical practice is 3 to 15g, and it is recommended to follow the doctor’s prescription. Yu Jin is the dried tuberous root of Wen Yujin, a plant of the ginger family, and its effects include activating blood circulation, relieving pain, inducing bile and eliminating jaundice, clearing the heart and cooling the blood, and promoting the flow of qi and relieving depression. It is mainly used in the treatment of chest paralysis (stuffy pain in the chest), heart pain, stabbing pain in the chest and ribs, breast distension and pain, menstrual cramps, menstrual cramps, fainting, epilepsy, epistaxis (vomiting of blood and nosebleeds due to blood-heat), and jaundice with reddish urine. Yu Jin is taken internally by decoction, however, it should not be used in combination with cloves.
