Who is susceptible to rectal cancer

The development of rectal cancer is currently believed to be related to dietary factors, genetic factors, age factors, chemical carcinogens, digestive tract diseases, parasites and so on.
1. Dietary factors: the development of rectal cancer is closely related to dietary factors. People with low-fiber diet, high-fat and high-protein diet, and lack of trace elements and vitamins are more likely to develop rectal cancer.
2. Genetic factors: People with family history of rectal cancer have a higher risk of rectal cancer in their immediate family members than normal people.
3. Age factor: patients with rectal cancer are usually older than 50 years old.
4. Chemical carcinogens: people who like to eat fried and baked food are more likely to develop rectal cancer.
5. Digestive diseases: patients suffering from ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, rectal adenoma, rectal polyps will have a higher chance of developing colon cancer.
6. Parasites: Suffering from schistosomiasis is considered to be one of the triggers of rectal cancer.
