Drinking soy milk does not usually delay menopause. Soymilk contains soy isoflavones, a phytohormone that has the biological activity of estrogen but is not estrogen, so it doesn’t have that much of an effect on menstruation. And the content of soy isoflavones in soy milk is not so great that both can have a significant effect on menstruation. So drinking soy milk on a regular basis does not delay menopause. Women with age, ovarian function gradually decline, hormone levels also gradually decline, women to 45-55 years old between the general menopause. However, the exact timing of menopause varies from person to person and is related to a number of factors such as genetics and nutrition. This decline in natural hormones is not something that can be supplemented by drinking soymilk, nor does it delay menopause.
