Liver Fibrosis 4 and Liver Elasticity tests are relatively more accurate in detecting the elasticity of the liver, but the results of both can be complementary to each other. The 4 liver fibrosis items are type III procollagen, type IV collagen, laminin and hyaluronic acid. The 4 items of liver fibrosis are mainly used to determine whether the patient has liver fibrosis, but higher than normal values can not diagnose the liver with fibrosis or cirrhosis, and need to be combined with liver elasticity test and ultrasound imaging of the upper abdomen to make a diagnosis. Liver elasticity test is mainly to check the fat content of the liver, quantitatively check the elasticity of the liver, observe the size and shape of the liver, liver envelope, etc., to determine whether the patient has hepatitis or cirrhosis, but it also needs to be supplemented with the 4 items of liver fibrosis. If the 4 items of liver fibrosis are found to be abnormal, or the liver elasticity is not normal, it is recommended to consult the gastroenterology department of regular hospitals.
