What are the effects of Lotus Leaf and Stale Peel Tea

Lotus leaf Chenpi tea has certain effects of resolving dampness, regulating qi and strengthening the spleen, and cooling the blood. However, as a tea, the medicinal ingredients analyzed are limited and generally do not achieve the therapeutic effect.
Lotus leaf has the efficacy of clearing summer heat and removing dampness, elevating Qing Yang (conveying nutrients from digested food to the head and face), cooling blood and stopping bleeding, and can be decocted for the treatment of summer-heat and thirst, summer-dampness and diarrhea, diarrhea due to deficiency of the spleen, and epistaxis (spitting out of blood and nosebleeds due to blood-heat).
Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae can regulate qi, strengthen the spleen, dry dampness and resolve phlegm (expelling dampness by drying dampness and resolving phlegm), and can be decocted and used to treat distention and fullness in the epigastrium (abdomen), poor appetite and vomiting and diarrhea, and coughing with profuse phlegm, but caution should be exercised when there is solid heat within the body as well as when the tongue is red with little fluid.
The adverse effects of the two herbs are not known. Patients are advised to consult a doctor if they feel unwell, and it is not recommended to blindly use Chinese medicines alone or in combination, and the medication should be administered under the guidance of a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner, so as to avoid errors and delays in the use of the medication.
