When the Blood Sea point is blocked, knee pain, irregular menstruation, and tannin (an acute infection in which the skin is red as if it were painted) may occur.
The Blood Sea point, also known as Blood Qie, belongs to the Foot Taiyin Spleen meridian and has the efficacy of clearing heat and activating blood, promoting dampness and regulating menstruation. The method of acupuncture for this point is straight stabbing, and moxibustion can also be performed.
When the meridian qi is impassable and its efficacy is out of duty, it may lead to symptoms such as knee pain and lower limb disadvantage caused by impassable qi and blood; gynecological diseases such as irregular menstruation and dysmenorrhea caused by Chong Ren disharmony; and skin diseases such as dengtoxicity and addictive rashes caused by blood-heat internalization.
It is recommended that patients with the above symptoms should go to the hospital in time and follow the doctor’s instructions to avoid delaying their condition.
