What are the manifestations of Tourette’s Syndrome in children?

Patient’s description: Recently the child has been watching TV with head and neck twitching, usually basically no twitching and no other symptoms. Hope to provide help: What disease does the child have? How to cure? How to prevent it? Expert: The symptoms described by the parent are similar to those of “childhood tics” in pediatric psycho-behavioral terms. However, it is not possible to draw a simple conclusion. Some neurological disorders may have similar symptoms when they are not typical. Therefore, the diagnosis of tic disorder should be considered only after consultation with a physician at a pediatric clinic to rule out organic disorders. If the diagnosis of tic disorder is confirmed, the most important prevention method is to let the child relax mentally, not to pay special attention to the child’s tic performance, not to criticize the child because it is not a deliberate mischief, and not to give him too much pressure to study.
