How to raise white blood cells most effectively

There is no such thing as the most effective way to raise white blood cells, and the cause of lower white blood cells should be treated. Common causes include infections, drug factors, blood diseases, immune factors and so on. The main treatments include anti-infective drugs, stopping the drugs that cause leukopenia, applying granulocyte colony-stimulating factor, using hormones and so on. 1. Some bacterial, viral, rickettsial and protozoal infections can present with leukopenia, and anti-infective drugs should be selected according to the type of pathogen, such as levofloxacin. 2. Leukopenia caused by certain drugs (alkylating agents, chloramphenicol, sulfonamides, etc.), should immediately stop the use of related drugs, change to drugs with the same therapeutic effect or replace the treatment program. 3. Hematological diseases such as leukemia and myelodysplastic syndromes can cause leukopenia, and granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) or granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) can be applied, in addition to the use of chemotherapeutic drugs such as cytarabine for the treatment of the cause of the disease. 4. When general leukocyte-boosting drug therapy is ineffective and leukopenia persists, and the cause may be immunologic (e.g., systemic lupus erythematosus), glucocorticosteroids such as prednisone may be used. There may be other reasons for leukopenia, if leukopenia occurs, should consult a doctor in time for relevant examinations, to clarify the cause of the disease, and standardize the treatment under the guidance of the doctor. Avoid blind self-medication.
