Heart failure can be divided into left heart failure and right heart failure according to the damaged part of the heart, and the symptoms of left and right heart failure are different. Left heart failure shows symptoms related to pulmonary circulation stasis, while right heart failure shows symptoms related to body circulation stasis. 1. Left heart failure is mainly manifested by different degrees of dyspnea. Exertional dyspnea is the earliest symptom of left heart failure, followed by disease progression and telangiectatic breathing, with patients unable to lie down. In more severe cases of left heart failure, nocturnal paroxysmal dyspnea and acute pulmonary edema may occur. Patients become pale, sweaty, and irritable; they cough, cough up sputum, and hemoptysis, and in acute pulmonary edema there may be pink foamy sputum. Symptoms related to inadequate perfusion of tissues and organs, such as limitation of physical activity, weakness, fatigue, dizziness, panic, and scanty urination, are also present. 2, right heart failure gastrointestinal symptoms are the most common symptoms of right heart failure, due to abdominal distension, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, etc. caused by gastrointestinal stasis. Signs mainly show edema, edema generally starts from the low hanging area, edema is often symmetrical and indurable. Edema of both lower extremities is common, and swelling of the posterior back and hip-sacral region is also seen in prolonged bed rest. In severe cases, pleural effusion and pericardial effusion may occur. The symptoms of heart failure mainly include dyspnea, limitation of physical activity and edema.
