Chest pain as well as back pain, this condition is highly considered to be radiating back pain due to coronary heart disease, angina pectoris. In general, patients with angina pectoris will experience posterior sternal pressure pain, sometimes radiating to the posterior back, left shoulder, anterior aspect of the left arm, or even to the left ring finger. In addition to the discomfort that angina may cause, some people may have cervicocardiac syndrome or X syndrome, or it may be caused by coronary vasospasm. To further clarify what is causing the problem, patients are advised to have a cervical spine MRI, coronary CT and ECG exercise stress test if necessary to help further clarify the diagnosis.
