What is Hodgkin’s lymphoma nodular sclerosis type?

Hodgkin’s lymphoma nodular sclerosis type is one of the 4 types of classic Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Hodgkin’s lymphoma, also known as Hodgkin’s disease, is most commonly found in the cervical and supraclavicular lymph nodes, followed by mediastinal, retroperitoneal, and para-aortic lymph nodes. The lesions originate in a single lymph node or a group of lymph nodes and show a chronic painless progression, usually manifesting as a regular station-by-station spread from the primary lesion to adjacent lymph nodes along the lymphatic tract. Hodgkin’s lymphoma is one of the most common malignant tumors in young adults. It can be divided into nodular lymphocyte-predominant Hodgkin’s lymphoma and classic Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Early stage is characterized by enlarged lymph nodes. In the late stage, it may have hematogenous dissemination, invade blood vessels, involve spleen, liver, bone marrow and digestive tract, accompanied by fever, night sweats, fatigue, itching and other symptoms. Most patients can survive for a long time after standardized treatment. When painless and unexplained lymph node enlargement, abdominal mass, mediastinal mass, and unexplained prolonged fever appear, we should be alert to the possibility of this disease, and go to the hospital in time, which may be life-threatening, and need early and timely treatment.
