How much does a hospital ear check cost?

The cost of a hospital ear exam varies depending on what is being examined. If you are simply looking at the condition of the ear canal or eardrum, there is usually only a registration fee and the doctor can look at the ear canal and eardrum with the naked eye through a handheld otoscope, which usually costs nothing extra. If you want to do an ear canal flush, it should be around$15 -$20 per side of the ear. If you do an electrical audiogram it should be around$30. If you do acoustic conduction, it should be about$50. If a CT exam of the ear is done, it is probably in the$300+ range. For a more objective audiogram, such as brainstem evoked electricity is about$100+. So the cost of having your ears checked varies depending on what is being checked.
