One of the most common clinical causes of bumps in this area of the external auricular cartilage is localized keloid scarring. Most of them are related to the individual’s keloid constitution, for example, if you are a scarred person, and you have a stud in the cartilage of the auricle, or if you have some traumatic injuries that lead to cracks in the cartilage of the auricle, cracks in the skin, and the localized abnormal growth occurs during the sewing process, or after you have a stud in the auricle, the lumps are sometimes small at the beginning, but with the prolongation of time, the lumps will be getting bigger and bigger, and some of them are accompanied by a feeling of swelling and itchiness. If it gets bigger, some pain may occur. At present, there is no good solution for these keloids, and surgery is recommended. After surgical excision, strict alignment sutures should be used to prevent the keloid from recurring, but this kind of keloid in the cartilage of the auricle has the possibility of recurring. If necessary, radiotherapy can be used after surgery.
