Acute tonsillitis can be cured in a few days

Most acute tonsillitis is caused by bacterial and viral infections of the tonsils, causing an inflammatory reaction in the tonsils, which generally takes about 1 week to recover from acute tonsillitis. Acute tonsillitis is a reaction of the body’s immune system to external factors, mainly manifested as pharyngeal congestion, edema, severe pain, swallowing difficulties, etc. The pain can be radioactive. The inflammatory reaction usually takes about 1 week to subside, and some patients can gradually heal in about 5 days if they have a strong resistance and are actively taking medication under the guidance of a medical professional. However, a small number of patients will develop complications such as pneumonia, and these patients may need to extend their treatment time to about 2 weeks, or even longer. In addition, patients with acute tonsillitis need to pay attention to a light diet, avoid eating spicy and stimulating food, and drink more water to promote the body’s metabolism.
