How the tendon bag is formed

Tendon bag is a common name for a varicose vein mass formed by varicose veins in the lower extremities, which on examination appears as a locally elevated, soft mass in the lower extremities and, if phlebitis is formed, is accompanied by congestion, redness and swelling, and significant tenderness. The main reason for the formation of varicose veins in the lower extremities is the prolonged work in the upright position, which affects the blood return to the distal veins. Increased pressure in the abdominal cavity can also lead to this disease, commonly in patients with ascites, or in patients with abdominal tumors or pelvic occupying lesions that compress the iliac veins, which can also lead to poor blood return to the distal veins and secondary superficial venous tortuosity and dilatation, which can also lead to swelling, pain, and soreness in the lower extremities, and can lead to increased symptoms after activity. In severe cases, surgical treatment is required to strip the tortuous veins and ligate them at a high level, and compression stockings can be worn during normal activities, which can also have an auxiliary therapeutic effect.
