However, it is not effective for vomiting caused by motion sickness. It can also be used in the symptomatic treatment of nausea and vomiting caused by acute gastroenteritis, biliary pancreas, uremia and other diseases, and can be used before diagnostic duodenal intubation to help smooth intubation. For gastrointestinal barium x-ray examination can reduce the vomiting reaction. Precautions: Intravenous metoclopramide needs to be titrated slowly; rapid administration may result in agitation and subsequent lethargy. Also, the drug reduces the oral bioavailability of cimetidine, and if the two are combined, they need to be separated by more than one hour. In patients with renal insufficiency, they may be prone to extrapyramidal symptoms. Contraindicated in the following cases: contraindicated for those who are allergic to procaine or procainamide; the frequency and severity of epileptic seizures can be increased by the use of the drug; gastrointestinal hemorrhage, mechanical intestinal obstruction or perforation can be aggravated by the use of the drug to increase the dynamics of the gastrointestinal tract; pheochromocyte carcinoma can be a hypertensive crisis due to the use of the drug; can not be used in patients with breast cancer who are vomiting due to the implementation of chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
