The Fuyao point is located 2 inches above the tip of the inner ankle, on both the right and left sides.
Fuyao point, also known as Fubai and Changyang, belongs to the foot-shaoyin kidney meridian and is located on the inner side of the calf, 2 inches above the tip of the inner ankle, on both the right and left inner side of the calf. It has the effects of clearing heat and nourishing yin, tonifying the kidney, and relaxing the tendons.
In clinical practice, it can be paired with Bladder Yu to treat retention of urine (dribbling or inability to urinate); with Sanyinjiao to treat spermatorrhea; with Taixi point to treat thirst; and with Shui Shui point to treat bulging.
The needling method for this point is straight stabbing, and moxibustion can also be performed. Most patients can be needled at this point.
