What to do if there is fluid in the femoral head

Fluid buildup in the femoral head needs to be treated according to the specific cause, and common causes include synovitis of the hip joint, necrosis of the femoral head, ischemic abscess of the femoral head, and so on. Treatment methods include physical therapy, medication, surgery and so on. 1. Hip synovitis: increased fluid accumulation in the joint due to trauma, infection, viral bacterial invasion and other factors. Bed rest should be taken, and physical therapy such as heat therapy, electrotherapy, ultrasound can be taken to reduce edema; oral ibuprofen, celecoxib, diclofenac sodium and other anti-inflammatory drugs, analgesic; or ultrasound-guided extraction of fluid or synovectomy to remove the diseased synovial membrane. 2. Necrosis of femoral head: Early femoral head effusion will occur. Weight-bearing of the affected limb should be avoided, and crutches or walkers can be used for walking; drugs such as heparin, warfarin and other anticoagulants, alendronate, dobasil hydrazide tablets and other drugs to inhibit osteoclasts or increase osteogenesis can be used; hip-preserving surgery and artificial hip replacement can be considered in case of severe necrosis. 3. Ischemic abscess of femoral head: in acute stage, braking is needed to avoid activities. Physical therapy such as hot compresses, infrared irradiation and magnetic therapy can be chosen to relieve pain; if the pain is obvious, drugs such as ibuprofen, celecoxib and diclofenac sodium can be taken orally for anti-inflammatory and analgesic purposes; if the joint effusion is serious, surgical treatment is recommended. Femoral head with fluid can be seen in all hip joint lesions, such as the discovery of femoral head effusion is recommended to consult the doctor in time, under the guidance of the doctor to improve the examination to clarify the cause of targeted treatment. The above drugs should be used under the guidance of a doctor.
