How to repair a missing hymen

It is impossible for the hymen to disappear completely, even after vaginal delivery the hymen leaves a trace, so how should it be repaired after a possible hymenal laceration. It mainly depends on the extent of the fissure. If the fissure occurs due to trauma, you can choose the central incision method at the edge of the hymenal fissure to repair giving edge-aligned sutures. If the hymen is relatively thick, the edges of the fissure are not neatly aligned, obvious scar growth can be seen, and if the hymen has been fractured in the past and ruptures again after repair, you can choose to remove the tissue at the edge of the incision and suture the hymen in alignment, which will also achieve relatively good results. In case of multiple hymenal fissures, it is recommended not to repair the hymen, as this condition will not achieve good results in clinical practice even if repaired.
