Improvement of depressed scarring by autologous fat injection

Some of our friends are left with keloid scars after burns or trauma, some keloid scars protrude from the surface and some keloid scars are below the skin level due to the loss of subcutaneous tissue, these below skin level keloid scars are depressed keloid scars. In the past, plastic surgeons often did not have a good way to deal with depressed keloid scars. The key to correcting depressed keloids is to restore the volume of tissue beneath the skin. A new technique for filling tissue volume that has gained widespread use over the years is autologous fat grafting. We can collect fat from the abdomen, thighs, etc., and after certain treatment, inject it into the subcutaneous area of the depressed scar to expand the tissue volume and make the area look full. So, autologous fat injection is a good way to improve depressed scarring. I have done some such cases with good results.
